A new Gravel & Adventure Bike Expo is launching as part of the 2026 Adventure Travel Show, bringing off-road bikes, gear, and stories to central London.
With gravel riding and bikepacking becoming two of the most exciting and fastest-growing trends in cycling, it’s no surprise that the Adventure Travel Show (ATS) is making room for them in a big way. In 2026, ATS will officially launch a dedicated Gravel & Adventure Bike Expo, giving brands, riders, and explorers a space to meet, share stories, and check out the latest gear and bikes built for wild roads and off-grid travel.
The show is set to take place once again at the Business Design Centre in Islington, London, a venue already familiar to many cyclists—it was the original home of the Cycle Show in its first years.
New Expo, Same Spirit of Adventure
The 2025 edition of the Adventure Travel Show marked its 25th anniversary, and organiser Chris Holman (part of the COREbike team and a long-time figure in the UK cycling scene) sees the new gravel segment as a natural next step.
“We know winter is when many cyclists hang up their bikes for a bit,” said Holman. “But that makes it the perfect time to meet up, plan new trips, swap stories, and look at the best new bikes and gear for the season ahead.”
O gravel and bike trekking section of the show will debut with 20 exhibition stands in its first year, supported by off.road.cc as official media partner. With limited space, the expo aims to focus on quality conversations and targeted engagement rather than sheer volume.
To make life easier for brands, the show is offering a turnkey stand solution provided by the team behind the Bespoked handmade bike shows. This allows exhibitors to arrive with their gear and find a fully built, professional-looking display space ready to go.
A Unique Audience of Adventure-Driven Cyclists
For brands thinking about joining, the Adventure Travel Show offers something many bike expos don’t: a dedicated audience of people who live and breathe adventure. This isn’t a crowd of casual shoppers—it’s a mix of seasoned bikepackers, first-time gravel buyers, overland explorers, and cycling holiday dreamers.
That was clear to returning exhibitors like ISON Distribution, who brought Surly bikes to the 2025 show.
“We met a very different type of customer—people who knew what they wanted, had done thousands of miles, and were passionate about this kind of riding,” said Pat Joscelyne, Surly UK Manager at ISON.
It was the same story for Reilly Cycleworks, who displayed their Gradient and Reflex gravel bikes to a fresh, curious audience.
“This wasn’t your typical bike show crowd,” said Chris Ratcliff, Business Development Manager at Reilly. “They were there to learn, to explore, and they asked all the right questions. We were glad we showed up.”
Talks, Stories, and the Spirit of Bike Travel
One of the most engaging parts of the Adventure Travel Show is the cycling stage, which hosts informal, “round-the-campfire” style talks. Expect stories from gravel racers, transcontinental riders, bikepackers, and everyday people who’ve taken on extraordinary trips.
Speakers from previous years have included names like:
- Carlton Reid, former BikeBiz editor and cycling journalist
- Kate Rawles, known for her ultra-distance cycling adventures
- Rebecca Lowe, author of The Slow Road to Tehran
- A live video link with Duncan Covey, who checked in from his global cycling trip in Australia
The goal isn’t just to showcase bikes and kit—it’s to celebrate the lifestyle that goes with it: long-distance rides, slow travel, solo journeys, and unforgettable landscapes. The talks are just as likely to touch on mental health, sustainability, and the joy of being disconnected as they are on tyre width or gear ratios.
What Will the Expo Include?
The new Gravel & Adventure Bike Expo will focus on all the essentials for off-road and adventure riding, including:
- Gravel bikes, touring and adventure bikes
- Bikepacking bags and racks
- Helmets, clothing, and shoes for long-distance travel
- GPS and navigation devices
- Tyres, wheels, tools, and multi-use gear
- Lighting, locks, and safety accessories
- Energy food and outdoor snacks
- Cool tech and small-brand innovations
The show is also expected to attract cycling holiday operators and travel destinations interested in drawing bike travellers to their regions—offering a rare chance for riders to explore guided trips or plan independent tours.
