01 - Quality COntrol & Certificate

Standards, Testing, Certificate

At Regen, all our vehicle designs—whether OEM or fully customized—are developed based on the EU standard EN 15194 / EN 17860 and DIN 79010, Germany’s structural safety standard specifically created for cargo bikes. Our engineering process is guided by these frameworks from day one, ensuring your product meets legal and functional requirements in both private and commercial use.
We conduct a full suite of in-house and third-party tests, including:

Beyond performance, we also incorporate legal design features required by EU road traffic regulations. For example, family-use cargo bikes must include secure child seating with integrated safety belts and rigid structural enclosures. We design these systems in line with child transport provisions under EN 15918 and German StVZO lighting and visibility laws.

Importantly, every bike we build can be delivered with the full documentation package:

  • CE Declaration of Conformity

  • Material traceability files

  • Third-party lab certificates (TÜV, SGS, etc., available on request)

  • In-house QC reports and production test logs

Designed manufactured
to compliance standards

We understand that for many clients, failing a customs check or violating sales compliance is not just a financial risk—it’s a brand liability. That’s why Regen delivers more than bikes: we deliver market-ready, regulation-compliant vehicles with full legal and technical backing.

02- Support What you Need

Customer and technical Support

Successful cargo bike businesses need more than a good product—they need dependable support that keeps things moving. Regen provides a full suite of pre-sales and after-sales services, including assembly support in Europe, technical documentation, and fast-response troubleshooting. We prepare detailed installation guides, rider manuals, and assembly walkthroughs (photo + video) tailored to your product configuration and branding style. For clients targeting direct-to-consumer (DTC) channels or online marketplaces, we offer packaging consultation and digital asset kits to help you deliver a professional unboxing and onboarding experience. Need to train your local dealers or service partners? We provide mechanical diagrams, error code instructions for motor systems, and branded maintenance schedules. Most support tickets are answered within 24 hours, and we ship standard parts or replacements across the EU. Our mission is to make your ownership lifecycle smooth, efficient, and confidence-driven—from warehouse to customer doorstep.

OEM & ODM Services

From proven platforms to concept-driven development—modular, compliant, and built for your brand.

Regen provides flexible, professional solutions for brands seeking to enter or expand in the cargo bike market. Our offerings cover both OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturing) for quick customization based on tested platforms, and ODM (Original Design Manufacturing) for brands that need a unique product developed from scratch—or based on reference models.

OEM: Pre-Engineered Models, Your Branding

Our OEM solutions allow you to select from a range of proven cargo bike platforms—already tested and validated. Ideal for distributors, retailers, or pilot programs, OEM builds enable:

  • Selection of frame type (front-load, longtail, Long John, trike, Etc.)

  • Modular component configurations: mid-drive motors, gear hubs, batteries, accessories

  • Branding customization: RAL/Pantone paint, decals, logo badges

OEM is ideal for fast delivery cycles, reduced development risk, and businesses new to cargo bike sourcing.

ODM: Full Customization — Two Development Paths

For brands seeking differentiation or building a signature model, Regen offers end-to-end ODM development. We support both idea-to-product development and reverse engineering of competitor benchmarks or legacy models.

Our engineering team works closely with clients throughout the process. Here’s a typical timeline:

This path is ideal when you have a general idea, usage scenario, or concept—but no final design yet. It’s perfect for new product launches or innovations in family or logistics segments.

Choose this path when:

  • You want to build a brand-new model from the ground up
  • You have concept sketches, mood boards, or rough specifications
  • You want to co-develop frame architecture, system layout, and design
  • You need an experienced team to manage safety compliance and production scalability

Case Examples

  • New Market Entry: A micro-mobility brand from Germany provided a design sketch and target audience. Regen delivered a complete family cargo bike in 70 days—EN-certified and ready for mass production.

  • OEM to ODM Transition: A delivery fleet client evolved from generic OEM models to a custom-designed fleet-ready cargo bike with Regen’s full ODM process.

For clients with a reference bike or legacy model, we rebuild and optimize the design—either replicating form and performance or improving structure and compliance. This method is common when targeting similar performance as well-known European models while adding differentiation and brand identity.

This service is ideal when:

  • You only have a physical sample or competitor bike, not original drawings
  • You want to launch a model similar to an existing product with functional or cost improvements
  • You’re upgrading an old model to meet new performance or safety standards
  • You want to reduce costs by re-optimizing materials, layout, or component sourcing

Case Examples

  • Product Upgrade: A client supplied an outdated longtail cargo bike. Regen redesigned the frame with stronger welds, integrated a modular battery, and reduced frame weight by 12%.

  • Competitor Replication with Improvements: A reference model from a leading brand was re-engineered in 45 days with better ergonomics, local component matching, and lower unit cost.
